Williams worked as an AT&T telephone operator; in Veterans administration; at WoolCo; at Woolworth; and in the Count Room at the Stardust Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Leo Wilner (1917- 1998) was born in Brooklyn, New York. Leo graduated from Jefferson High School in New York and for two years attended school to be a rabbi. He quit to work and help his family. In the early 1960s, friends talked Wilner into moving to Las Vegas where he became executive director Temple Beth Sholom.

Nevada businessman George Wingfield was born in Arkansas in 1876 and grew up on a ranch in Oregon. He settled in Nevada as a young man and eventually owned several banks, hotels, and mines in the state. Upon his death in 1959 he left his widow and three children an estate of over three million dollars.

Wouters, L. F. (Louis Francis), 1921-

Louis Francis Wouters was born on October 29, 1921, in Antwerp, Belgium. His family moved to California in 1930. Louis married Gladys C. on March 14, 1982. Gladys had three children: Glenn, Clark, and Amy.

He attended school the University of California, Berkeley. Wouters obtained a bachelor of arts degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1942. He then earns his doctor of philosophy degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 1952.

Wright, Thomas C.

Thomas C. Wright was born to Lucille and John S. Wright on November 6, 1941. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada with his family in 1956. He did his undergraduate work at Pomona College, with his junior year spent in Peru at the University of San Marcos. He went to the University of California Berkeley and earned his MA and PhD in history. He began teaching at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1972. He studied and taught on Latin American history, authoring several books and articles. He retired in 2011.
