Oral history interview with Sandra Douglass Morgan conducted by Claytee D. White an Stefani Evans on November 10, 2025 for the Game On! the Oral History of Las Vegas Sports project. In this interview, Morgan reminisces about her early life in Las Vegas, Nevada, growing up at Nellis Air Force Base. Involved in sports from a young age, she was very partial to track and cheerleading. After graduating from Eldorado High School, Morgan attended the University of Nevada, Reno for her undergraduate degree and then Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. During this time, Morgan remembered experiencing a lack of diversity in both her undergraduate and law classes and was witness to racism on campus. Morgan then recounts her career, working at the City of North Las Vegas as city attorney, and later the Director for External Affairs for AT&T Wireless. Later, she was appointed to the Nevada Athletic Commissio and then the Gaming Commission. She started her own consulting firm, Douglass-Morgan LLC, and in 2021, was offered a position on the Allegiant Airlines board of directors, with a focus on the new stadium.
