If according to the signed schema of table arrangements, guests and /or sorors are not seated properly; guests and/or sorors will be asked to move. Sorors, we need to improve the integrity of the signed schema and honor the table placements and assignments.
Refunds/Credits: Sorors, we will not issue refunds or credits for guests who do not attend even in cases of emergency, etc. Any residual funds will be placed back into the Founders’ Day budget so that we may continue to have a quality event.
Extra Guests. Last year we had a number of guests show up that were not counted in the total number. Do to unforeseen emergencies we had guest not show; therefore, we had extra seats. We completed last year on the money with the number of ordered meals and number of guests. It was very close and we do not want to ask sorors to forego their meal in order to accommodate and unexpected guest. Sorors, please emphasize to your guests that if they must commit/pay by the time we have taken a final count in order for us to seat them. February 12, 2000.

Founders’ Day was held on Sunday March 14, 1999 at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino. This year’s Founders’ Day was well attended and many positive comments have been received with regard to the event. The committee members are again recognized for their hard work and commitment to making this event a success. The results of the surveys were very positive of the 24 surveys returned,. 7 responses rated the Founders’ Day luncheon as average, and the other 17 responses rated the Founders’ Day luncheon as above average. Comments from sorors regarding what they enjoyed most ranged form the guest speaker, to the food, to the entertainment, to the program, and overall everything. Suggestions for improvement included more information on the founders, try to reserve a Saturday, more seating, and table assignments. The committee has reviewed the survey results and will consider the suggestions and comments as we plan for next year.

♦Note: 1. The cost of the printing was less than projected due an error in printing the tickets on the printers part.
    2.
The cost of souvenirs was less than projected; however, we only paid for a color cartridge used in the printing of the inserts for the picture frame gifts. We did not pay for paper or the black cartridge used in the printing.
    3.
. The decorations utilized were from the hotel, so the only cost was for the ribbon and ivy.
The Founders’ Day Committee recommends that the $492.84 be added to the Founders’ Day budget for the Founders’ Day 2000 program.
With regard to the Founders’ Day 2000 program, the committee has already begun making plans. The date has been scheduled for Saturday, February 12, 2000, at 2:00 p.m. at the Golden Nugget. The Golden Nugget requires a S200.00 deposit to reserve this date and room. We have contracted for a larger room so that we may accommodate our guests more comfortably.
Possible guest speakers for Founders’ Day 2000 are: Soror Norma White, Ms. Bernice King, Ms. Yolanda King, and a General Motors Executive.
Sorors, thank you for your unending support in the 1999 Founders’ Day luncheon.
I move that the Founders’ Day committee final report be accepted as presented with $492.84 being put back in the Founders’ Day committee budget to assist with the expenditures for next year, and that $200.00 be submitted to the Golden Nugget in order to reserve the date and room for Founders’ Day 2000.

‘Each soror will receive three tickets to start (more if they would like) at the December meeting. Sorors will need to sign for all tickets received.
    Table arrangements: Soror Barbara
‘Upon paying for tickets sold/tables, Tables/seats will be selected by sorors. Sorors will identify their location and sign up for their table. At the luncheon, tables will be numbered and hostesses will seat guests and sorors according to the layout of the tables and the number assigned at the time ticket money was turned in.
Extra Guests: Last year we had a number of guests show up that were not counted in the total number.
