Pacific Sewer Pipe Company- Sewer Pipe purchased and instal led at Las Vegas. Los Ax&eles MR, E. H. i | » : Beferring to your letter of Jure 27th. 1918 quoting letter from the Pacific Sewer Pipe Company relative to the sewer pipe we purchased from them and installed at Las Vegas, Ifevadai stand a working pressure of 30# and not a mere lavatory* test of 30#. Our requisition specifically states woxkiag pressure. Prom my observation of the pipe 1 am sure it will not stand anything like that pressure, and 1 feel our .offer to the pipe company to settle ojaim upon the hare cost of the pipe is not protected by concrete and may now be tested any time. If the Pipe Company is not willing to accept our offer I think we should prepare to test that part of the line, which may be readily done, and should it fail, I see no reason why the Pipe Company Should not repay us the full amount Which we have spent upon the line, airounting to something over #10,000.00. Should the pipe Company not be willing to refund us the amount paid for the pipe not used and not be willing to take part in the above mentioned test then 1 think we should file suit against them to recover our loss, because there is no question in my mind as to the justice of our claim. She pipe was purchased under a guarantee that it would witfe-a very fair one. It must be remenbe^ed that the line was reinforced with a heavy concrete jaclst and still failed* She first 3,000 feet of the line was Yours truly, m /ob Engineer Maintenance of Way
