RReennwwiicckk — Los Angeles) cation for drilling a new 16° diameter by 800 feet deep water well at Las Vegas, Nevada under Work Order 40415: We have reviewed these specifications and also compared them with the log and construction of the existing well, which is in the near vicinity of the new proposed well. Basically, our recommendations in regard to changes in the specifications are: 1. Revise to permit construction by rotary or cable tool method of drilling. 2* Delete references to a gravel packed well. The existing well, which has been a good water producer, is not gravel packed* A straight cased well will be more economical to drill and we have been advised that this type of construction is more desirable for the Las Vegas area. 1 . The diameter of the conductor pipe be reduced to 20 inches and the length increased to 100 feet. This diameter is sufficient for the 16 inch casing and the additional length will give more protection from surface contamination. Attached hereto is one copy of your specifications on which the above revisions and other minor corrections have been noted. R. M. BROUN
