Our authorization for amortization requires work be com­menced by Aug 4, 1945. Our WPB approval states QUOTE Unless construc­tion started 70 days from date of issuanoe (which date Is April 11th) the permit is automatically revoked UNQUOTE. This would mean start­ing by June 20th. However, in another portion of the form it states: QUOTE Expiration Bate: July 3 1 , 1945 UNQUOTE. If we desire to protect these two authorizations I can arrange by contract to excavate ditches for the pipe lines leading from Wells 8 , 9 and 10 to site of proposed settling basin, and place order for the pipe lines. The expense would come well within Author­ization of APE 20 and would I believe protect us in WPB and amortiza­tion approvals. This program would of course be contingent upon our anticipation project recommended my letter April 2 3 , 19 4 5 , will be approved substantially as proposed.
