I agree.167 12. In comparing prices of sugar, etc purchased by myself in open market with prices of sure purchased in N. York and shipped here I find a difference in our favor of about .2 3/9 per pound on sugar, while the quality of ours was much better. I would, therefore, suggest that sugar and other articles of subsistence be purchased in the West in open market. In comparing price paid by me for flour with prices paid by the gov. for flour shipped to Ft. Yumica School and leal. Rivers reservation. I find a difference in our favor of from 25 cents to $1.25 per 100th. It seems to me to be better than to purchase this flour in open market as now.
