All this of course to the employees, many of whom were becoming discontented, and one of whom- Mr. Becker, he got to resign. He thought the government should furnish him with everything- bed, bedding, wood, oil, food, etc., etc., and when he could not get all these things he was more angry still. I stood it as long as I could when I told him emphatically that his tenure of office depended upon his ability to keep his mouth shut. He resigned and I accepted his resignation.
