Sir: On August 16th ‘90, I had the honor to receive a letter from you authorizing me to expend a [not legible] not exceeding $15 in the open market purchase of a few implements a small supply of [not legible] etc. for the Yava Suppai Indians located in Cataiact Caun. Upon visiting these Indians I found they were not in the starving and destitute condition reported to the Indian Office and consequently aid not expected this money.i would not earnestly request that this money may be transferred to the Mojaves
