Jim's sub-ject will be "One T7orld With Rotary". Jim is one of our favorite speakers and we anticipate an interesting talk. ************ LAST WEEK Our friend, Judge McNamee, gave us a very good talk on his recent trip to Europe and the continent, and compared the present with his trip of two years ago. The Judge flew this trip, and made ncte that now no visa is required to enter each country separately as was required two years ago. He states that the people were fearful of the Marshall Flan, in 1947, as they felt it might be a deal in which the US would dominate the world. Sentiment has changed, particularly in France. There is no rationing in France, but prices are high. France is not worried about Russia. They do wonder, however, how long we can feed the world and how long the people here can stand the tax-ation necessary to feed the world. Bel-gium is better off than France. Italy is trying to recover. England is no better than two years agoj Socialized medicine has been the breaking straw for the English people. Doctors are two years behind in getting glasses, etc., for patients. It is an 'awful' experiment for the English people. Britons are allowed one pound of meat, 2 eggs, no milk for adults, per week. Hotels have no soap. The following are rules of the Two-Penny Club as reported in Addi-son's Spectator, 1710: 1. Every member at his first coming shall lay down his two-pence. 2. Every member shall fill his pipe out of his own box. 3.
