An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE REGULATING THE ERECTION, CONSTRUCTION, ENLARGEMENT, ALTERATION, REPAIR, MOVING, REMOVAL, CONVERSION, DEMOLITION, OCCUPANCY, EQUIPMENT, USE, HEIGHT, AREA AND MAINTENANCE OF BUILDINGS OR STRUCTURES IN THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA; PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS AND COLLECTION OF FEES THEREFORE; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLA­TION THEREOF, AND REPEALING ORDINANCES NUMBERS 130, 166, 188, 284, 303, 421, 526, AND ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH was read by title and referred to Commissioners Sharp and Whipple for recommenda­tion. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE WARM AIR HEATING CODE OF THE CITY OF LAS VEGAS, ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 607, BY PROVIDING A NEW SCHEDULE OF FEES; TERM OF CERTIFICATES OF QUALIFICATION; PROVIDING FOR RENEWALS OF CERTIFICATES; PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE; AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Sharp and Whipple for recommendation. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND CHAPTER 36, SECTION 58, CODE OF LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, 1949, BY ADDING A NEW SUBSECTION TO PREVENT VEHICLE PARKING ON SOUTH FIFTH STREET BETWEEN OAKEY BOULEVARD AND SAN FRANCISCO STREET; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; AND PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Sharp and Whipple for recommendation. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 20 OF ORDINANCE NO. 610 BY INCREASING TEE NUMBER OF MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF ELECTRICAL EXAMINERS TO SEVEN; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH; AND PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Fountain and Sharp for recommendation. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE PROTECTION OF THE PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY, AND THE EXAMINATION, REGISTRATION, LICENSING OF PERSONS ENGAGED IN THE BUSINESS OF PLUMBING, OR LABORING AT THE TRADE OF PLUMBING; REQUIRING A PERMIT FOR THE INSTALLATION OR ALTERATION OF PLUMBING AND DRAINAGE SYSTEMS; CREATING AN ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICE AND A BOARD OF PLUMBER EXAMINERS, AND PRESCRIBING THEIR DUTIES; DEFINING CERTAIN TERMS; ESTABLISHING MINIMUM REGULATIONS FOR THE INSTALLA­TION, ALTERATION OR REPAIR OF PLUMBING AND DRAINAGE SYSTEMS AND THE INSPECTION THERE­OF; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR ITS VIOLATION AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NOS. 476, 520, 637, AND ALL OTHER ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT THEREWITH, was read by title and referred to Commissioners Fountain and Sharp for recommendation. An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR LICENSING OF SOLICITATIONS FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES; PROVIDING REGULATIONS IN RELATION THERETO; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF AND DEFINING TERMS; AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO was read by title and referred to Commissioners Fountain and Whipple for recommendation. At this time the Board considered the Bonanza Road Area Proposed Land Use Map. A public hearing was held and the matter taken under advisement on August 3, 1955 for final action on September 7, 1955. This matter was held in abeyance until the next regular meeting of the Board on September 21, 1955. Commissioner Bunker moved that Mrs. Connie Hurley and Mr. Angelo Manzi be appointed to the Board of Adjustment for a term of five years. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Fountain moved that Messrs. L. F. Cole and M. Smith of the El Vegas Roller Rink, 222 West Charleston Boulevard, be requested to appear before the Board at the next regular meeting, September 21, 1955, to show cause why their license should not be revoked for alleged acts of misconduct by Mr. Cole. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple moved that a public hearing on the rezoning of South 4th and South 6th Streets, from Bridger to Charleston, be set for the regular meeting on October 19, 1955 at 7:30 P.M. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, Commissioner Sharp moved that this meeting adjourn.
