An ordinance entitled: AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR LICENSING OF SOLICITATIONS FOR CHARITABLE PURPOSES; PROVIDING REGULATIONS IN RELATION THERETO; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF AND DEFINING TERMS; AND OTHER MATTERS PROPERLY RELATED THERETO was read by title and referred to Commissioners Fountain and Whipple for recommendation. At this time the Board considered the Bonanza Road Area Proposed Land Use Map. A public hearing was held and the matter taken under advisement on August 3, 1955 for final action on September 7, 1955. This matter was held in abeyance until the next regular meeting of the Board on September 21, 1955. Commissioner Bunker moved that Mrs. Connie Hurley and Mr. Angelo Manzi be appointed to the Board of Adjustment for a term of five years. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Fountain moved that Messrs. L. F. Cole and M. Smith of the El Vegas Roller Rink, 222 West Charleston Boulevard, be requested to appear before the Board at the next regular meeting, September 21, 1955, to show cause why their license should not be revoked for alleged acts of misconduct by Mr. Cole. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Commissioner Whipple moved that a public hearing on the rezoning of South 4th and South 6th Streets, from Bridger to Charleston, be set for the regular meeting on October 19, 1955 at 7:30 P.M. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Fountain, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, Commissioner Sharp moved that this meeting adjourn.
