PAVING ASSESSMENT Vega Verde #2 Vaughn Harris MERITORIOUS INCREASES- Commissioner Jarrett moved that the City accept a note from Vaughn and Hazel Harris in the amount of $180.42 for the paving of the street abutting Lot 8, Block 6, Vega Verde Tract No. 2. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. At this time the Board considered the recommendation of the Board of Civil Service Trustees on the following employees: Department Step Sch. Salary Gould, William S. Clark, Porter A. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. Director of Public Works gave a short report on the status of proposed assessment districts for the installation of sewer, streets and street lighting in various areas of the City. At this time Commissioner Bunker returned to the meeting. Mr. Herb Jones appeared before the Board on behalf of Mr. J. C. Millian applicant for a Used Car lot license at 1519 Fremont Street. Mr. Jones was advised to check with the various departments concerned to determine what requirements were necessary for the issuance of this license. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, Commissioner Sharp moved this meeting adjourn. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none.
