PAVING ASSESSMENT Vega Verde #2 Vaughn Harris MERITORIOUS INCREASES- Commissioner Jarrett moved that the City accept a note from Vaughn and Hazel Harris in the amount of $180.42 for the paving of the street abutting Lot 8, Block 6, Vega Verde Tract No. 2. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. At this time the Board considered the recommendation of the Board of Civil Service Trustees on the following employees: Department Step Sch. Salary Gould, William S. Clark, Porter A. Harris, LeGrand A. Mickelson, LeRoy Stewart, Kathleen Navis, Albert Dittmer, Fred J. Stahl, Charles Kinard, Dirl Mayorga, Louis Tullis, Donald K. Dailey, Andrew Martinez, Jose J. Schrup, William H. Gould, Ruth Behrman, Robert Forbes, William Gullo, Larry Hefner, Gilbert Hirsch, Robert Regland, William T. Southerland, Charles Polk, Bernard Pullum, Ike Walden, demon Holliday, Irving Cemetery City Clerk Engineering Engineering Engineering Engineering Engineering Engineering Fire Fire Fire Park Park Park Personnel Police Police Police Police Police Police Street Sanitation Sanitation Sanitation Maintenance ASSESSMENT DISTRICTS USED CAR LOT Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved the recommendations of the Civil Service Board of Trustees and the City Manager for the above listed salary increases be approved, effective April 1, 1955. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. Director of Public Works gave a short report on the status of proposed assessment districts for the installation of sewer, streets and street lighting in various areas of the City. At this time Commissioner Bunker returned to the meeting. Mr. Herb Jones appeared before the Board on behalf of Mr. J. C. Millian applicant for a Used Car lot license at 1519 Fremont Street. Mr. Jones was advised to check with the various depart­ments concerned to determine what requirements were necessary for the issuance of this license. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, Commissioner Sharp moved this meeting adjourn. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. CALL OF SPECIAL MEETING Date: April 4, 1955_________ TO: SHIRLEY BALLINGER, City Clerk Las Vegas, Nevada A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada is hereby called to be held in the Mayor's Office of the City Hall, on the 4th day of April, 1955, at the hour of 4:30 P.M. to consider the following matters: 1. Bid Opening - Jefferson Avenue Pool Building. 2. Discussion on Bid No. 55*02 - Gasoline 3. Travel Expenses - Attendance at Sewer and Water Conservation Conference April 27 to 30, 1955 - expenses of $200.00 for Louis Anton. 4. Purchase of Parking Meter Counting Machine. s/_____C. D.
