Recommendation on Bid Nos. 53.24, 53.25, 53.26, and 53.27. 2. Liquor license of Amy Randle, Randle's Cafe 3. Sherwood Park sewer 4. Washington Street s/ REED WHIPPLE Mayor Pro Tem NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING BID NO. 53.24 Rodding Machine ? BID NO. 53.25 Water Line TO: REED WHIPPLE, Mayor Pro Tem AND TO WENDELL BUNKER, REX A. JARRETT, HARRIS P. SHARP, Commissioners and A.H. KENNEDY, Acting City Manager, and HOWARD W. CANNON, City Attorney of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada. You and each of you will please take notice that pursuant to a call this day issued by Mayor Pro Tem Whipple, a special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, will be held in the Council Chambers at the City Hall, 5th & Stewart, on the 10th day of August, 1953, at the hour of 4 :00 P.M. to consider the following matters: 1. Recommendation on Bids Nos. 53.24, 53.25, 53.26 and 53.27. 2. Liquor license of Amy Randle, Randle's Cafe 3. Sherwood Park sewer 4 . Washington Street s/ SHIRLEY BALLINGER City Clerk ACCEPTANCE OF NOTICE We, the undersigned Mayor Pro Tem, Commissioners, Acting City Manager and City Attorney of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, do hereby admit due service of the foregoing Notice of Special Meeting: REED WHIPPLE Mayor Pro Tem Harris P. Sharp Commissioner WENDELL BUNKER Commissioner A.H. KENNEDY Acting City Manager REX A. JARRETT Commissioner HOWARD W. CANNON City Attorney A special meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the City of Las Vegas, Nevada, held this 10th day of August, 1953 was called to order at the hour of 4:25 P.M. by His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple with the following members present? Mayor Pro Tem Commissioner Commissioner Commissioner City Attorney Acting City Mgr. City Clerk Reed Whipple Wendell Bunker Rex A. Jarrett Harris P. Sharp Howard W. Cannon A.H. Kennedy Shirley Ballinger Absent: Mayor Baker The City Manager recommended that the bid of the Southwest Sewer Tool Co. to furnish a rodding machine for the sewer plant as requested in Bid No. 53.24 in the total amount of $4,179.05 be accepted. Commissioner Bunker moved the recommendation of the City Manager be approved and Bid No. 53.24 be awarded to the Southwest Sewer Tool Company. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Mayor Baker. Commissioner Jarrett moved that the award of Bid No. 53.25 for the installation of a 4" water line to the sewer plant be held in abeyance until August 19* 1953. Motion seconded by Commissioner Sharp and carried by the following vote? Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Sharp and His Honor Mayor Pro Tem Whipple voting aye; noes, none. Absent? Mayor Baker. 8-10-53
