I want to say Thank-you for coming to the meetings. Dorothy Herman President Page 6 Congregation Ner Tamid Congregation Ner Tamid and Jewish Family Services would like to introduce ?The OUTREACH Program 1990-1991? A national program which seeks to educate and sensitize the Jewish community to be receptive to interfaith couples and Jews by choice, while offering them the chance to get involved with the Jewish community. Outreach does not seek to convert the non-Jewish partner, instead it enables them to explore, study, and come to understand Judaism. Instead, it provides an atmosphere in which a com?fortable relationship with Judaism can be fostered. There will be a numerous variety of programs for this years Outreach. While last year was successful, with a Hanukkah Party, Rap Session, Passover Seder, and Family Picnic... we feel this year will be even better. The programs planned for fall 1990 include: September 14th Outreach Family Dinner and Sabbath. A special dinner will be held before services at 6:00 p.m. (Services begin at 8:00 p.m.). This will be a chance for old and new faces to meet and get reacquainted. The Rabbi will be on hand to answer questions about the Sabbath and the forthcoming ?High Holidays?. Dinner will cost $5.00 for adults and $2.50 for children. We need checks in to the Temple office by Wednesday, September 12th for your reservation. October * Outreach Rap. With the success of last years Rap Session, this event is sure to be one you won?t want to miss. Dr. Lewis Etcoff will again lead this exchange of problems, questions, and ideas. November * Panel Discussion. Plans are in the works for a panel of professionals who will give their opinions on questions concerning the ?December Dilemma?. * Dates yet to be determined. Call the temple office for more information, or become a member and add your name to the mailing list.
