    The regular meeting of the Goldfield Woman's Club was held May 24, 1923. The meeting was called to order by the president Mrs. Sprague the minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The treasurer reported a balance of $32.50 in the bank. The Secretary of the Board of Directors gave her report. A letter was read from the American Red Cross, Letterman Hospital thanking the Goldfield ladies for the cookies sent to the sick soldier boys A letter to Mrs. Wallace Reid was read and afterward signed by all of the Club members commanding her work on the fight against narcotics.The Constitution and By-Laws of the Club was read by the Secretary. Mrs. W.J. Phillips name was read for the second time and the Sec. instructed to send her a notice of her election to membership.Current Events was called for most of the ladies contributing. Mrs. Sprague read a very interesting article on the organization of a Woman's Club in Paris. The roll was called with ten members responding.Mrs. Sprague presented the Secretary Mrs. Hillebert, who was soon to leave to make her home in Long Beach, with a beautiful gift from the Club members. A beautiful gift was sent to Mrs. Oakley also a departing member and a resolution of regret at the departure. No other business the club adjourned after singing one verse of America to meet Oct. 11, 1923.Christine Hillebert Secretary
