I agree.The regular meeting of the Goldfield Woman's Club was held March 22, 1923.The meeting was called to order by Acting President Mrs. Mills. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The treasurer reported a balance of $35.40 in the bank.The committee on the Short Story contest of the Brown Memorial who Mr. Astor, Mr. Houlihan, Mrs. Foster, Mrs. Lawry and Mrs. Hillebert. A letter was read from Mrs. Daugherty thanking the Club for their part in the contest.Mrs. Gordon Bettles name was read for membership.A letter was read on the subject "Why Nevada should have a law for the suppression of Commercialized prostitution" after which it was discussed by the club members.A motion was made and carriedthat we postpone Nomination of Officers until the next meeting as Mrs. Sprague the president was absent.Mrs. Ricketts reported that some clothing had been given to a young woman and baby whose home had been burned.It was requested that a report be given of the Charity fund and number of garments given away. The following bills was to be paid; Janitor service $1.00 General Education dues $2.50.The meeting was then turned over to Mrs. B.A. Mills who gave a very interesting paper on the History of the Colonies.
