I agree.The Hot Box Fans, ventilation and air conditioning were unknown to the old timers. These early day miners were handicapped by poor air and heat. Working places were referred to as hot boxes and miners always carried a dry shirt for travelling up the shaft. Comstock, Nevada miners were know as hot water men.
