I have settled up with Mr Holt as best I could and enclose his bill OKed by me up to April 1st and OKed his account for 17 days in this month which will not be sent you until May 1st and I will try and explain matters.When I left here Dec. 20th I thought it would be only for a short time and I simply told him I would allow him $2.00/ per day I board and when I returned Mar 5th I agreed to give him $40.00 per month but since that time he has been doing more work than could be expected and had to get up early and cook breakfast and staid up late at night and finally put in about 14 hours a day.
