    4work will have to begin very soon and pushed right along & for this work the following willbe required from the railroad, viz;- Two breaking plows; one harrow; one seed drill; one ditch plow; one roller; 6 setts, heavy double harness; 6 pairs eveners, two four horse whips,one two horse whip and several sundry articles, a list of which I can supply.Good seed grain can be secured cheaper in this county than by shipping in.Good farm hands are scarce in this country and I would advise shipping in at least two Germans or Swedes for the work. They work better and stay longer than other nationalities.I understand several of the cattle are still unbranded, all should be promptly branded.My understanding with Mr. McDermott in
