LOS VEGAS RANCH#2LOS VEGAS, NEV. 1903first from a drunken Indian yesterday. Of course these things are hard to prove and I can say nothing. Then further I want to keep on the very best terms with Lattimer while he is there so that I can occassionally go over and see for myself how things are going. So trust you will not quote me in any of this until we have gotten rid of the entire outfit. Was over there today and found my irrigator (about the best Indian here), drunk as a beast. He had not shown up to water for 3 days. All this is not only annoying here, but you will be more or less blamed after people find out that is also your property. Our man tells me he has already written the County Sheriff about the drunken Indians. And if this keeps up I shall also be compelled to write him to look into it or we may have another murder here. Have no fear about the place here as the Indians are very friendly and will do anything we ask when sober. But the Kyle place is beginning to have a bad reputation and am sure you would like to know about it.Yours truly,J.K.W. Bracken
