Ross Clark,Second Vice President,Building.Dear Sir: In accordance with paragraph 11 of the Minutes of Construction Committee on February 20, 1905, I have arranged to meet Mr. C. Ira Tuttle at Las Vegas Ranch, Nevada, on Tuesday morning next for the purpose of making arrangements for the disposal of stock of merchandise in our store, cattle on the ranch and leasing the ranch property. The Minutes of the Construction Committee provide that Mr. Tuttle and myself shall attend to these matters, protecting the interests of the company and reporting to yourself and obtaining your approval of our decisions.Relative to the disposal of the stock of merchandise in our store: My plan would be to take an inventory immediately upon our arrival at Las Vegas and to insert in some of the Los Angeles papers and Salt Lake papers of two Sundays' issue,- March 5th and 12th - an advertisement something as follows:"The San Pedro, Los Angeles & Salt Lake Railroad Company offers for sale a restaurant and store building and a complete stock of general merchandise, all located at Las Vegas, Nevada. Estimated value of general merchandise stock about five thousand dollars. Sales for February amounted to (have wired Bracken for the amount). Copy of inventory, to be taken March 7th, can be seen at Room No. Deseret News Annex, Salt Lake City, Utah, and at Room No. 573 Pacific Electric Building, Los Angeles, Cal., on March 13th and will be open to inspection of bidders. Bids will be opened at 12 o'clock noon, March 15th, at which time all bidders may appear and raise bids if desired."
