I agree.mining goods together with stoves and housekeepers hardware. Our prospects are very flattering and we will undoubtedly build up a good trade. Even now while the country is in its infancy we are doing quite well. It was a new start for me as I went into an operation in California about two years ago and lost what little money I had. I spent last fall and winter traveling through Arizonaand Northen Mexico looking for a chance to start again, but the Indians were so bad, I concluded to return to Nevada and not run the chances one must run in Arizona, as the Indians infest the whole country and kill white men whenever they can. In traveling we were obliged to go in parties of eight or ten for safety and then it was very dangerous. It is a good mining country but little can be done for the reasons above given. I saw five mines of gold silver and copper and without a doubt they will be worked before manyyears as the western prospectors will not be kept back very long by the murdering Indians. The territory of Arizona is a very interestingcountry to travel
