I agree.M.J. MONNETTE, PRESIDENT THOS. H. CONDON, VICE-PREST. LINCOLN DAVIS, TREASURER A.A. BARRETT, SECY. R.J. SHOEMAKER, DIRECTOR J.R. HUBBARD, GEN'L. MGR. Baby Florence Mining Company P.O. Box 334 112 Hall St. Goldfield, Nevada Sept 10--08 Dear Mother:- Your No 11 of the 6th rec'd today. Before I forget must tell you what a ducking I got last night. We had a extra heavy rain storm about 2 oclock last night. You know I go on at 11 at night. Well I could see the storm brewing about midnight. It commenced to rain about 1:00 and about 2: it was to beat anything you ever saw in Hoosier. The boys down in the mine could not tell it was storming on top and they send up several buckets before I could get them stopped. You know my work is all out side and I have to keep the ore and waster rock out of the way. The lightning burned out some fuses at the Power station near Goldfield and of course that cur off our Power for about an hour. By the time the Power was on agan the rain was all over. Now it didn't hurt me the least to get wet. I am feeling dandy. Wish I could have been home to help clean upon those Bananas.
