LINCOLN DAVIS & COMPANY BROKERS P.O. Box 334 GOLDFIELD, NEV. MEMBERS: GOLDFIELD STOCK AND EXCHANGE BOARD CHICAGO MINING AND STOCK EXCHANGE Sept. 28, 1907 Dear Mother:- Just received your letter No. 3 of the 22nd this morning. Also the picture and papers. Say you are a ghost in that picture sure enough. Billie has changed a whole lot since I got his otherplcture. It is a good picture of tho whole bunch but you. Who took it anyway? He is a bum photographer or he would have known enough to have you out of the sun. I oould beat him taking a picture. Glad to knowf that Vought came to see Dady. The last thing I asked him before he left was to go see Dady. I have heard that Vaught has been bad sick since he got home. Things are very dead just now. Nothing doing for me yet. I am going out this afternoon and try to get a job in the Mill. How is that for an office man? I don't care though. I am willing to get at anything now . I am going to come out on top yet. We are going to move this coming week and have a good comfortable place. Now I would like to be home Mammy but I think I had better stay with this while yet. I would have been a little better off but I am here now and don't you think for a minute that I will make a draw from home as long as I am able to kick. Who told you what Kendall said? You must have had a dream. They sure treated me alright while I was with them. I would like that kind of a place back there some time but cannot take it for a while yet. Mohawk Ledge is selling at about 5 1/2 to 6 cents now. You don't know what that means to me. I will explain some of the stock deals to you when I come home.
