I agree.I have only got a few minutes to write you this morning before we hit the trail. We have lanterns & candles for light. It is not cold here. We have been pestered to death by the wood ticks - The sage bruch is full of them. Climbed one mountain two days ago that took me 3 hours to reach the summit. Suppos the kids are pretty well satisfied up at Fryes. They ought to be. I would like to be in there and see you all but I am out for a gold mine now. You will rememeber I told you some time ago the I would never be satisfied until I had a gold mine of my own. I may be out all summer & not get anything but I am going to try. Say I almost forgot to tell you about my whiskers. I shaved last night for the first time in about 6 weeks. Tell you I was a fright - about 3/4 inch long and you can guess the color.
