I agree.are all undergrond. There is one mine here that has a shaft down over 500 feet deep. I want to go down this shaft and go around through the drifts. The tunnells are called drifts. They run back from the shaft for hundreds of feet. You don't hear of a shaft caving in very often. There was a cave in last week and a few men caught but It was because the place was not properly timbered. You ask about my room. I am rooming at the Sunset. It is a rooming house of about 12 rooms on my floor. The house is on the side of a hill and There are a few rooms in the basement or bottom part of the house. There is only one story above the ground. I have room #2. It is just inside the Door and the first room on my side of the Hall. The land lady's name is Watts. She came here from Louisville, Ky. The house is just one square north of the Post Office on Miner Street I believe, I am not sure of the street as I have never asked. When it comes to directions, I am completely turned around. The sun raises in the West and sets in the East. That is the way it seems to me. I got the quinine this morning. You go to some clothing store and get me a wool or cashmere shirt.
