Scope and Contents

The gaming subject files contain materials collected by Dr. Spilde about the gaming industry as well as the advent, regulation, and socioeconomic impact of internet gaming. The subseries contains materials dating from 1975 to 2014, with the bulk of materials dating from 1995 to 2005. The materials include reports; journal articles; fact sheets; Department of Defense press releases and articles; notes; correspondence; video recordings of televised programs about US gaming issues, Native American casinos, the gaming industry in Asia, and the socioeconomic effects of gaming; and internet gaming subject files containing reports, journal articles, conference materials, testimonies, notes, and periodicals.
