Abstract
The Brian "Paco" Álvarez Professional Papers (1997-2014) are comprised of the personal papers of Las Vegas, Nevada museum curator and arts advocate Brian "Paco" Álvarez. Cultural heritage institutions and events represented in this collection include the Neon Museum's relocated of the La Concha structure, the "Vegas VIP: Vegas Viewed in Postcards" exhibit and "Post Modern 2005" at the Mob Museum for the City of Las Vegas centennial celebration in 2005, and various photograph exhibits at the Liberace Museum. Also included in the collection are documents related to KUNV radio station "Gimme My KUNV" awareness event regarding the station's commitment to diverse radio shows.

Biographical / Historical Note
Brian "Paco" Álvarez is a Las Vegas, Nevada native who works as a historian, museum curator, and arts advocate in Las Vegas. He worked with the Las Vegas News Bureau, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitor's Authority, the Neon Museum, the Las Vegas Arts Council, and the Liberace Foundation and Museum on exhibits and loans celebrating the history of Las Vegas. Álvarez was born March 1, 1974 in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is an artist, musician, and works as an arts advocate across many institutions and committees in Las Vegas. His work has been highlighted in events such as Life is Beautiful, at UNLV, and in local museums. Álvarez holds a bachelors degree in Anthropology from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and is the founder of Fabulous Story Tours and Psionic Art Works, two start-ups based in Las Vegas.
