Abstract

The collection is comprised of shooting logs and raw video footage created for the documentary, Stripped and Teased: Tales from Las Vegas Women (1998). The collection includes video interviews and transcripts from approximately 1995 to 1998 of women working in Las Vegas, Nevada from a variety of backgrounds. Subjects include individuals such as Mayor Jan Jones, Representative Shelley Berkley, Claudine Williams, Thalia Dondero, Joyce Marshall, Hattie Canty, Sister Rosemary, Fluff LeCoque, and others. The collection includes footage of Las Vegas events and street scenes from a variety of periods.

Biographical / Historical Note

Amie Williams is a media production professional specializing in documentary film and video for television. Williams is the founder of Bal Maiden Films which is a global-themed film and video production company established in 1994 that has produced films including Stripped and Teased: Tales from Las Vegas Women (1998). She is the executive director and co-founder of Global Girl Media, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and developing the voice and media literacy of young women in under-served communities between the ages of 14-22.
