The Vicki Higgins Cannabis Advocacy Papers (approximately 2000-2020) consist of correspondence, research notes, legislative documents, news articles, pamphlets, promotional materials, and publications relating to the regulation and legalization of cannabis for medicinal and recreational use in Nevada. The collection also includes materials gathered at cannabis industry conventions. Also contained are materials from WECAN (Wellness Education Cannabis Advocates of Nevada), a patient advocacy organization founded in 2008, as well as the Coalition For Patient Rights Nevada, which Higgins co-founded. Vicki Higgins has been a medical cannabis advocate in Nevada since 2009.
