Abstract
This collection is comprised of the legislative papers of Nevada assemblyman Robert "Bob" Price from 1959 to 1988. The majority of the material concerns a legislative subcommittee appointed to investigate the pricing of automobile and housing insurance policies in Nevada. Documents include newspaper clippings, correspondence, minutes, testimony, press releases, and reports. Also included are legislative documents that relate to tax regulations, gaming regulations, and the Nevada Gaming Commission.

Biographical / Historical Note
Nevada Assemblyman Robert "Bob" Price was born in DeLand, Florida in 1936. Price, an electrician by trade, was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union Local 357 in Las Vegas for 42 years. He served as a Democrat from Clark County in the Nevada Assembly, from 1975 to 2001, in three special sessions and 14 regular sessions. Price served as a member of the Interim Finance Committee from 1987 to 1995 and from 1997 to 2001; he chaired the Legislative Committee on High-Level Radioactive Waste and the Assembly Committee on Constitutional Amendments; and he was Vice Chairman for the Assembly Committee on Elections, Procedures, and Ethics. He also served as the chair of the Assembly Taxation Committee and as a strong supporter of worker rights.
