Biographical / Historical Note
Founded in the 1970s, the Active Republican Women's Club (ARW) of Las Vegas, Nevada is an organization focused on women's activism within the Republican Party and the larger conservative movement. The organization has worked closely with county and state branches of the Republican Party. In addition to organizing meetings for conservative women, the ARW also distributes a monthly newsletter and makes regular endorsements in local and national elections. The ARW has actively positioned itself to the political right on most issues, including a religious interpretation of the Constitution, a minimalist need for a Federal government, and a firm belief in promoting and protecting "Americanism."
