Biographical / Historical Note
The Las Vegas Victims' Fund was a 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed by the Nevada Resort Association at the behest of Clark County following the October 1, 2017 shooting at Route 91 Harvest Festival. Donations to this nonprofit went directly to shooting victims who met the criteria specified by the Las Vegas Victims' Fund committee. Money in the LVVF went to people in three categories: families of those killed in the shooting and individuals permanently injured and those requiring continuous home medical assistance; individuals physically injured and admitted to a hospital for at least one overnight stay on or before October 10, 2017; and individuals physically injured and were treated on an emergency or outpatient basis on or before October 10, 2017.
The LVVF was created October 1, 2017 and closed April 1, 2018. In total, the nonprofit distributed $32,023,000.00 to 515 beneficiaries, victims, survivors, and families.
The Las Vegas Victims' Fund was a separate non-profit from the Vegas Strong Fund, which was formed to oversee fundraising, design, and construction of the 1 October memorial project. Since 2017, additional non-profit funds and settlements have been administered by various organizations and corporations in support of victims of the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting.
