Biographical / Historical Note
Peppermill Casinos Inc. had its start in 1971 when Nat Carasali and Bill Paganetti opened the Peppermill Coffee Shop and Lounge in Reno, Nevada. On December 26, 1972, Nat and Bill took their venture into Las Vegas, Nevada with the opening of the Peppermill Restaurant and Fireside Lounge. The Peppermill business grew when the lifelong friends began a decades-long partnership with Tom and Albert Seeno in 1979 in order to expand into the gaming industry. A year later, the Peppermill in Reno opened a small casino and a motor lodge. The company added two more casino and hotel properties in 1983, Western Village in Sparks, Nevada, and Rainbow Club in Henderson, Nevada. Following these expansions, Peppermill Casino Inc. added its first location in Wendover, Nevada, Peppermill Casino, in 1984. It since has added two more properties in Wendover, the Rainbow Hotel and Casino, and Montego Bay Resort. In addition to its acquired properties, Peppermill Casino Inc. operated the Peppermill Resort in Mesquite, Nevada from 1981 to 1993. The Peppermill Resort, later named as Si Redd's Oasis after owner William 'Si' Redd, grew from a small truck stop to a expansive hotel and casino while managed by Peppermill Casinos Inc.
