Abstract
Erica Mosca Papers (approximately 1986-2023) contain photographs, memorabilia, and training materials documenting Nevada State Assemblywoman Erica V. Mosca's early childhood, education, and political career. Photographs document Mosca's early education and her graduation from Boston University, her teaching career as a 5th grade teacher for Goldfarb Elementary School in Las Vegas, Nevada, and her activities as founder and executive director of the "Leaders in Training" nonprofit organization. Other materials in this collection include photographs of Mosca with her family and friends during the opening day 82nd session of the Nevada State Assembly and some memorabilia and training materials pertaining to the legislative session.

Biographical / Historical Note
Erica Mosca is an educator and politician, born in 1986 and raised in a Filipino-American family in Palm Springs and Navato, California. In 2008, Mosca graduated from Boston University and began teaching at Goldfarb Elementary School in Las Vegas, Nevada as part of the Teach for American program. Mosca also holds master's degrees in education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and Harvard University. In 2012, Mosca started the nonprofit organization "Leaders in Training" (LIT) which is an after school program for first-generation college students. Her involvement with politics includes serving on U.S. Congressman Steven Horsford's Equity Cabinet and an appointment to the Nevada State Public Charter School Authority. In 2022, Mosca was elected to the Nevada State Legislature as an assemblywoman to District 14 representing the community in east Las Vegas.
