Abstract
Collection is comprised of posters collected by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Special Collections and Archives from 1974 to 2010. The collection primarily includes posters about events and exhibits hosted by UNLV Special Collections and Archives. Also included are posters for other UNLV events including: theatrical events, sporting events, colloquiums, choral productions, and events where UNLV was a partner.

The collection includes posters about events and exhibits hosted by UNLV Special Collections and Archives. Also included are posters for other UNLV events including: theatrical events, sporting events, colloquiums, and choral productions. The posters dating from the 1970s and early 1980s are primarily about theatrical events and events where UNLV was a partner with the Clark County Library and the Las Vegas Department of Cultural Services. The materials provide significant documentation of the events and exhibits that UNLV, specifically Special Collections and Archives, hosted and/or was involved with.

Acquisition Note
Materials were transferred to the University Archives by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Special Collections and Archives; accession number 2017-056.
Processing Note
A rough inventory of the accession was created by Maggie Bukowski in 2017. To prepare the inventory, the described materials were reviewed to create a contents list, estimate dates, and identify material types. In 2019, as part of an archival backlog elimination project, Jimmy Chang added materials to the collection and updated the finding aid. Later in 2019, Joseph Puentes processed and boxed additional materials and updated finding aid information.
