Abstract
The Arthur H. Wolf Photographs of the Women’s March and March for Science collection is comprised of digital photographs taken by Arthur H. Wolf using his iPhone of two protests that took place in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2017. The first set of photographs were taken during the Women’s March in downtown Las Vegas on January 21, 2017. The second set of photographs were taken during the March for Science on April 22, 2017. Accompanying each set of photographs is a document with Wolf’s notes explaining the purpose of the events and describing his experience attending them. The collection also includes a handmade sign "Change gun laws or change Congress" carried by Wolf during the protests.

Biographical / Historical Note
Arthur H. Wolf was an anthropologist and museum professional who worked in various curatorial and leadership roles within museums in the western United States for over four decades. Wolf received his Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Master of Arts in Anthropology and Museum Studies from the University of Arizona, Tucson. He has held leadership positions at museums such as the High Desert Museum in Bend, Oregon; the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman, Montana; and the Museum of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff, Arizona.
In addition to his work around the western United States, Wolf worked at various cultural heritage organizations in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was the director of the Nevada State Museum in Las Vegas and worked as a board member for the Archaeo-Nevada Society, the Casino Gaming Oral History Project, Nevada Humanities, and the Desert Wetlands Conservancy. Wolf also served as the founding director of the National Atomic Testing Museum in 2003.
In 2004, he established WOLF Consulting in Las Vegas, Nevada. WOLF Consulting offers services such as goal setting, establishing governance, strategic planning, conducting feasibility studies, and creating organizational assessments for museums and cultural heritage organizations in the western United States. They also organize workshops and trainings on museum-related topics at professional meetings. Wolf passed away on February 14, 2021.

Materials were donated in 2018 by Arthur H. Wolf and in 2022 by Holly Chaffee; accession numbers 2018-009, 2022-081.
Processing Note
Materials were processed by Tammi Kim in 2019. Files were transferred from a file hosting service and access copies were created, including the conversion of text files from DOC to PDF/A. Materials were then subsequently described and a finding aid created in ArchivesSpace. In 2022, Tammi Kim accessioned an addition and updated the finding aid.
