Artist Roberta Baskin Shefrin was born on January 1, 1929 in Holyoke, Massachusetts. In her chosen medium of sculpture, Shefrin received awards and exhibited her pieces in several mususems throughout the 1980s and into the early 2000s. She was honored as a Professional Member of the National Sculpture Society in 1991. After relocating to Las Vegas, Nevada in the 1990s, Shefrin joined the Henderson Art Association and was an exhibitor and instructor at the Las Vegas Art Museum. Roberta Baskin Shefrin passed away at the age of 92 on November 15, 2021.

In 2026, Landon Paljusaj accessioned and processed the collection, including rehousing the porfolio contents and writing the description in ArchivesSpace.
