    /paved as the paving progresses such that when the last section of street is paved there will be no dedicated streets which remain un­paved 0 Before a street Is paved it shall be graded to a depth of not less than eight inches below finished grade and at each side of the pave­ment within one foot of the gutter a trench not less than 18 inches wide at the top and not less than 16 inches below finished grade at the center must be excavated. These side trenches shall be extended across intersections in the direction of surface drainage. The street shall be filled with gravel, graded, and compacted, to not less than two Inches below the finished grade. A surface filler of fine mater­ial shall be applied and watered as a gravel binder unless a high type- surface is to be -applied immediatly. The paving shall not be less than 26 feet wide » In cases where an asphaltic concrete surface is not to be applied a street guard of native material must be graded up six inches above the finished grade along the edge of the pavement. When an asphaltic concrete surface is to be applied the subdivider shall plaee with the City of Las Vegas a surety bond of twenty-five cents per square yard for all paving within the subdivision. This wearing surface shall not be less than two inches thick, properly applied and compacted. Within six months after this surfacing has been applied trier0 shall be a seal coat of cutback aspha.lt and screen­ings applied using one-quarter gallon of M C - 1 per square yard. When asphaltic concrete is applied to streets not having a concrete curb and gutter a 2 X 8 redwood plank must be set on edge at the edge of the pavement. The top shall be four inches above the finished grade of th© pavement and the property side shall be reinforced with native material firmly compacted. All paving in each phase shall be inspected and passed by the City Engineer or his agent before bond release can be obtained. The subdivider shall provide the City Engineer with two plats of, the subdivision on which the street grades and elevations ar© designat­ed. If satisfactory one map will be okeyed and returned to the sub­divider and the other retained for the City files. Se?/erst I recommend that the subdivider give to the City of Las Vegas a surety bond of thirty dollars per lot to insure the installation of proper sewer facilities.
