IV That paragraph G. Section IV, applications and applicants, be amended by reducing the maximum age from 46 to 36 for both the Police Department and Fire Department, in accordance with the requests of the Chief's thereof; and the class descriptions setting forth the education­al requirements be amended to require the completion of high school for the entrance into the service in these departments. Thereafter Commissioner Whipple moved the Board accept the proposed changes as approved by the Civil Service Trustees and the recommendation of the City Manager with the exception of Item 111 B, said changes to be effective as of January 16, 1953. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote; Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and his Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent; Commissioned Bunker. CITY INSURANCE REQUIREMENTS At this time Commissioner Peccole, member of the committee for recommendation on the insurance needs of the City, made a report to the Board. The committee proposed two plans for General Liability Insurance and two plans for Automotive L iability. Discussion was held on the report and the proposed Plan No. 2 for General Liability and Automotive Liability seemed to meet with the approval of the Board. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote; Commissioners Jarrett, Whipple, Peccole and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. CITY HALL IMPROVEMENT Commissioner Peccole moved the contract with Aloyisius McDonald, Architect, for proposed Architects Contract improvements to the City a ll be approved and the Mayor and City Clerk authorized to sign the contract. Motion seconded by Commissioner Whipple and carried by the following vote; Commissioners Jarrett, Whipple, Peccole and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker. REZONING OF CITY PROPERTY Blk. 8, Biltmore Addn. Annex No. 3 Commissioner Whipple moved the property owned by the City of Las Vegas described as Block 8, Biltmore Addition, Annex No. 3 be rezoned to C-2 and this request for rezoning be referred to the Planning Commission for recommendation. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote; Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker CLAIM FOR DAMAGES Commissioner Whipple moved the claim of Rosario Arcurio in the total amount of $7,000 for pur- Rosario Acurio ported damages be denied. Motion seconded by Commissioner Peccole and carried by the following vote; Commissioners Jarrett, Peccole, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Bunker.
