Los Angeles * August 13* 1949 Pile: 174-2 . . . . 't ' Mr, A.M. Folger - Las Vegas: (cc: Mr* Wm. Reinhardt - LA) Tour letter of August 10thf your file W 23-3“4, to Mr, Reinhardt relative to conversation with Mr, Harry Jameson, Water Supervisor for the Las Vegas Valley, concerning application made by Mr, Jack Wollensein to drill a well near some of our wells in Las Vegas, It is not quite clear to me from your letter whether Mr, Jameson still thinks we should file a formal protest to this application but if Mr, Reinhardt concurs, and he will undoubtedly advise you direct, I suggest that you arrange to have Mr. Bryan file such a protest. It is possible that the State proposes, on its own motion, to restrict drilling of additional wells, as you suggest in your letter, but there would seem to be no harm in filing a formal protest which would bring the matter to an early head. 8 E.E.
