Mr, Cosgrove #0 carry water from existing lines in Columbia Heights Addition to the line* to be constructed to serve your development. The following estimate and proposal is based upon your advice that hr. Vitt will eontr&ot for the installation of the water mains, referred to in Item *A* above, either prior to or concurrently with the installation of water mains to serve your proposed development. To adequately serve Morningaide Park Addition and the portion of Columbia Heights Addition fronting on Sweeney Avenue, we estimate will require installation of 0610 L.P. of 8* and 13,410 L.P. of 6* oast iron water main# in location as agreed upon with Hr. Bronksn. The estimated ooat of constructing the water mains is #63,870.00, which amount pursuant to Nevada Public Service Commission Rule 9 will be subject to refund. In addition the city requires Installation of twenty-seven (07) fire hydrants to provide adequate fire protection for the subdivision, which hydrants It will be necessary that you, at your own expense, secure from the city. The estimated cost of oonetruoting 8* fire hydrant connections to serve these hydrant# is #3290.00, which amount is not subject to refund. As I verbally advised you there is pending before the Nevada Public Service Commission Case So, 1214 regarding application of the has Vegas Land and later Company to amend it# Rule 9.8 to read as follows? (m) The Company will make no extensions of its mains to provide water service in areas of the City of Las Vegas not theretofore served by water sains of the Company subsequent to December 1, 1951, unless a contract for such extension of mains under the existing rules of the Company shall have been entered into prior to December 1, 1951.
