Black & Veatch report completed and tentatively approved by District. Guthrie McClain notified of this action by James M. Montgomery and is incorporating salient features into prospectus. 3/6/5^. B •- Prospectus Re-draft. Mark Eudey of California Municipal Statis-tics in Las Vegas for two days - March 4 & 5 - gathering material for completion of economic background material in prospectus. Estimated prospectus final draft completion about March 15, 195^- J. L. Beebe preparing transmittal letter to accompany prospectus and engineering report. C •- Invitation for Financial Proposals: Draft being prepared by J. L. Beebe of O'Melveny & Meyers. D ?- Cengressional Acts. BMI Plant Manager Julian Moore advised TAC on March 5* 1954, that BMI principals definitely preferred - (a) Proposed act granting easements to BMI alone; (b) Requesting senior Senator Pat McCarran to sponsor the legislation individually. E -- Change of LVLW Contract Extension. No recent word from O'Melveny 8c Meyers of Union Pacific Railroad on present status. F -- Colorado River Commission. Necessary action taken at formal meeting in Henderson, March 6, 1954. Alan Bible later advised TAC that necessary documents will be finally signed in Reno and Carson City first of week beginning March 8. G -- Opening Proposals on Bonds. There has been no change in the target date of March 31 since O'Melveny & Meyers timetable was prepared. H -- Plans for Takeover of Water System. (a) Local Water Superintendent. At February 26 meeting acting managing Director Miller was requested to contact Jack Doyle of Las Vegas Land & Water Company and inform him that the District would like to have him consider remaining on after the takeover. To date there has been no report on this.
