J. F. SHAIJQHMESSY, CHAIRMAN GE4 H. I SLONE, COMMISSIONER fct, COMMISSIONER Public Service Commission of NEVADA LEE S. SCOTT, SECRETARY JOSEPH A. PARKER, INSPECTOR Carson City OUR FILE YOUR FILE June 26, 1931 Mr, Walter Bracken Manager Las Vegas Land & Water Co,, Las Vegas, Nevada Dear Mr. Bracken: Herewith enclosed for your information and file is a copy of letter filed by G. B, Laws during the hearing of the water rates at Las Vegas# In addition to the question raised regarding the bill, the question of service seems to enter, in that Mr, Laws complains that the water company has refused to furnish his gas station with a water tap. Is it. the rule to hold the bills of renters against the property owners, and can you not arrange by adequate deposit to take care of the collection of bills to cover all consumers of water from your sys tern? It is to be noted that Mr. Laws is willing to put in another pipe line to his service station in order to make the patrons of your Water Company avail able for separate service, if I understand the matter correctly. If this is true, seemingly the renters in question should be treated as any other water consumers. Will you kindly let me have the result of your investigation? With be JFSrLP Enc. I am
