2 6 "I think there were other minor points that could be worked out in a meeting with the Boards of the City and the District. The City of Las Vegas is still interested in this area for a park and recreational area; the need in that area is very great. Therefore, I would like to request to reopen the negotiations and see if this could still be accomplished. — J I believe that entering into a lease would protect the Water District and use of the property would be subject to public use for park and recreation purposes. Thanking you for your cooperation in this matter and hoping to hear from you in the very near future, I remain, Sincerely yours, /s/ C. D. BAKER C. D. BAKER, Mayorn Following a brief discussion, the President agreed to contact Mayor Baker and invite him to meet with the Board at 7:00 P. M., Tuesday, June 5, 1956.
