COMMITTEE CHAIRMANSHIP Chairpeople must be paid-up members in good standing to the JCCSN. Chairpeople must give monthly reports to the Board. Chairpeople may not enter into any agreements or contracts. Chairpeople must attend general Board Meetings as well as Monthly General Meetings. FINANCE & BUDGET: Prepare a yearly budget. Cordinate and record all general expenditures for monthly budget and for yearly budget. Detail income and expenditures both current and projected. Work directly with the Treasurer. WAYS & MEANS: Practical and functional means of fundraising needed to cover minimal expenditures such as paper goods, stationary, etc. Not to be involved with major fundraising projects. Purchasing required essentials for general use or getting these items donated. Work directly with Treasurer. FUNDRAISING: Plan methods for fundraising for annual major operating costs, Target amounts needed for future capital expenditures. Contact proper committees to carry through on special projects for major fundraising events. Work directly with the President and Executive Vice Pres. MEMBERSHIP: Coordinating Chavurah Groups. Involved with membership retention and recruiting. Mailing lists for newsletter and general mailings. Work directly with the 1st Vice President. PROGRAMING: Prepare a program for each general meeting. Programs need to be coordinated at least six (6) months in advance. Programs will provide a cross-section or variety and appeal to the widest cross-section og the membership. Introduce program at general meetings. Work directly with the 2nd Vice President.NEWSLETTER & ADVERTISING: Coordinate deadline dates. Assist Editor with set up of newsletter for printing and prepare for mailing. Budget newsletter costs. Solicit advertising. Keep records of advertising schedules reserved. Work directly with Member at Large. PUBLICITY: Print newsworthly articles to promote the JCCSN organization in various publications. Follow up all PSA opportunities. Adhere to required publication deadlines and requirements. Develop rapport with local media and with other committees. Develop press releases. Work directly with Member at Large. LIASON - COMMUNITY RELATIONS: Attend other community Board Meetings. Represent the JCCSN at various events and functions. Prepare thank you notes for corresponding secretary to mail. Develop interfaith relationships with community and with synagogues. Work directly with President and Executive Vice President. SOCIAL ACTIVITIES: Plan a calendar of social events for one year. Plan annual dinner dance. Coordinate and interact with other committees. Be knowledgeable of what facilities are available for social activities. Work directly with the 2nd Vice President. TELEPHONE: Be available to contact membership per instructions on special occasions. Contact newly enlisted members to remind them about the next upcoming meeting (one time only). CHILDREN/TEAN/ADULT ACTIVITIES. Plan and create teen, pre-teen activities, pre-school, toddler, 6-10, 11-14, and 15-17 age groups. Work with adults for theaspian and/or musicals along with outings for acults. Work directly with 2nd Vice President. LEGAL COMMITTEE: Work with By-laws. See that the JCCSN meets all legal obligations. Coordinate state and general reporting work with the Treasurer. Access insurance liabilities. Review all agreements and/or contracts.
