Mr. W. R. Bouse 3 January 10, 1952 If the Railroad Company sells all of its property in the existing water field which serves the City of Las Vegas without reserving any water therefrom, it will apparently either have to develop additional water through new wells on its property or by purchasing water from the District. It seems to me that this is a problem upon which the Operating Department should be consulted at the earliest possible date so that we shall have some definite plan to follow at the time the water production facilities of the Railroad are either transferred to the Water Company or are sold to the Las Vegas Valley Water District. Also I think it is very desirable that the existing Railroad well in the shop grounds should be protected by a water appropriation either by a transfer of a portion of the Railroad’s existing appropriation in the water field or the filing of a new appropriation.
