I agree.s Las Vegas - March 1?, 1945 W 5-6-1 Mr. E. E. Bennetts Further reference to my telegram B-l? March 14 and your B-?l concerning claim file with Labor Board by James A. Bowen, Watchman. I now enclose copy of letter from Mr. Lord and one from Louis J. Myers of the Department of Labor both of which are self-explantory. I enclose also re-cap showing wages paid and hour8 worked by Bowen during the time he was In our service. Bowen and one other watchman (John W. Cleveland) were employed to prevent pilferage to the General Motors Building, Leonls and Boyle Avenut, Los Angeles, damaged by fire. They were each assigned 12-hour shifts anti paid at straight time after 8 hours. While we have not yet been advised the basis for his claim, I assume it has reference to the question as to whether the Fair Labor Standard Act is applicable to Las Vegas Land and Water Company.
